Hydro-Electric Power

Manitoba Hydro provides reliable and economic electricity to industry through self-renewing water power originating from the rivers in northern and eastern Manitoba. The combination of the great power-generating capability of the province, continued effective cost control efforts and surplus electricity sales outside the province ensures that Manitoba Hydro will maintain the lowest electricity rates in North America. There are 6 hydro-electric generating stations operating along the Winnipeg River in the North Eastman region. To see non-residential utility rates, visit monthly rates.
