Economy

Industry
Beausejour is largely considered to be the service center of North Eastman, with over a hundred of its businesses serving the entire region.  It is also the second largest grain delivery point in the province, indicating the importance of agriculture to the area.  Beausejour has an excellent recycling program and recently developed an Industrial Park, which is zoned as light industrial or “M1”.

Tourism and Recreation
Beausejour annually hosts the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships (1st weekend in March) which includes cabarets and other festivities.  Other annual events in Beausejour include the Double “B” rodeo.  The Manitoba Glass Works Historical Site, and a museum complex offer quieter entertainment in Beausejour.  Within driving distance are the Whiteshell, Grand Beach, and Birds Hill Provincial Parks.  Recreational facilities in Beausejour include a nine-hole golf course, baseball diamonds, an ice arena, curling rink, a power toboggan/motor-cross track, an outdoor swimming pool, and a movie theatre and bowling lanes. 

The Brokenhead River Recreation Complex has complete indoor facilities for groups up to 1,000 people.  This facility is the third largest indoor convention facility in Manitoba.  Beausejour also home to the Sun Gro Centre which is one of the top Sportsplex facilities in the province.
