The Lac du Bonnet Airport is
essential to the North Eastman region as a link to northern
communities and as an important location for fly-in fishing. Ideally
located on the shores of the Winnipeg River, the airport can handle
both float and land aircraft thus providing an ideal access terminus
to Manitoba’s remote winter and summer wilderness areas and
resource-based corporate enterprises. It is centrally located within
the region providing convenient access to a number of communities.
There is a docking facility and ramp for removing float planes from
the river, and a trolley is available for removing float planes from
water to dry land. The Airport has 6 hangers and two more are
planned. Fuel services are available and there is no airport tax on
fuel. A new terminal and flight training facility is current being
built. Private & Municipal land with runway access is available for
aviation-related businesses interested in locating to the Lac du
Bonnet Regional Airport.
