The R.M. of Whitemouth
includes the communities of Whitemouth, Elma and Seven Sisters
Falls.
Industry
Agriculture
is the most important economic activity in the R.M. of Whitemouth,
with approximately 150 operational farms. Chicken, hog and diary
farming are predominant, but producers are diversifying to include
other activities such as sheep, beef and grain farming, bee
apiaries, and bees.

Tourism and Recreation
The
R.M. is located on the Whitemouth River at the edge of Whiteshell
Provincial Park, which offers exciting waterway attractions like
kayaking, white water rafting and canoeing. The full service
campground in Elma and tenting area in Whitemouth provides prime
camping with very reasonable rates. Annual events in the R.M.
include Whitemouth Octoberfest in mid-October, Sports Days in early
August, Museum Heritage Days in early September and Family Fest in
Seven Sisters in late August. The R.M. has four community clubs,
two with artificial ice curling rinks. A senior’s center and a
nursery school are part of the Whitemouth Community Club. Slo-pitch
and baseball activities run all summer and winter activities include
curling, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing on groomed trails in
Whitemouth and Seven Sisters. The R.M., along with other regional
Municipalities, have joined in as partners to the building of the
Trans-Canada Trail.
