An active Recreation Commission
with a full-time Recreation Director on staff coordinates any
programs and activities year round in conjunction with the R.M. and
LGD of Pinawa. Facilities in Lac du Bonnet include the Husky Park
(baseball diamonds), an indoor arena, the new Lac du Bonnet
Community Centre, which includes a new community halls, a bowling
alley and a curling rink. There are two tennis courts and three
soccer fields, as well as a guarded beach, a summer farmers’ market
and a Youth Recreation Centre for senior high and middle school
students. Annual events in Lac du Bonnet include Annual Ice Fishing
Challenge in February, July 1st celebrations, Farmer’s
markets every Saturday during the summer and a Christmas Craft sale
in early December.
